Swerve Strickland Walks Out On Keith Lee During Tag Bout At ROH Final Battle 2022

Miscommunication was the key factor in the match between Swerve in our Glory and the tandem of Shane Taylor & JD Griffey at ROH Final Battle 2022.

For several weeks now, Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee have had communication issues getting back to their time as AEW Tag Team Champions. At ROH Final Battle 2022, Swerve and Keith attempted to put their issues behind them when they faced the team of Shane Taylor and JD Griffey.

While things seem to be going well at first, a miscommunication led to Keith Lee hitting his partner again, and Swerve decided to walk out on his partner, payback for Keith doing that to him at AEW Full Gear 2022 in a match against The Acclaimed. Fortunately for Keith, later miscommunication between Shane and JD allowed him to hit the Big Bang Catastrophe on Griffey and score the victory on his own.

With Lee and Strickland signed to AEW, that is likely where the next chapter in the story will play out. During a recent media call, Tony Khan confirmed that Keith suggested he bring in Shane Taylor. Read more here.
