Swoggle Reveals How Anonymous Raw GM Story Was Supposed To Play Out

Swoggle recently revealed the original plan for the anonymous general manager of Raw storyline.

Known as Hornswoggle during a WWE tenure that lasted approximately a decade, Swoggle discussed those plans during a Q&A as part of Sports Illustrated's "Extra Mustard" feature.

He was revealed as the anonymous GM in the summer of 2012, more than a year after the anonymous GM no longer had power on Raw.

"I would love to do the whole ‘Anonymous General Manager’ storyline again," Swoggle told SI. "The way it was supposed to turn out was that I was supposed to be this almost mob-boss style character with this Napoleon complex, throwing his power around while running Raw. Obviously things didn’t work out that way.

Swoggle also discussed what it was like hiding under the ring, something he did countless times during his WWE tenure, which began as a manager/minion to Finlay.

"When it comes to being under the ring, I’d either go under before the doors opened or would get snuck under in the dark while a video package played on the screen," he explained. "There were times when I was underneath for six-plus hours because it wouldn’t work out to sneak me under later in the show. I’d get dressed under there, have plenty of waters, and would normally bring my phone or PSP. Thankfully, I never had a bathroom emergency under the ring."

Since leaving WWE, Swoggle has appeared for CHIKARA and Impact Wrestling, among a variety of other independent promotions.
