A new IWGP Women's Champion was crowned at STARDOM All-Star Grand Queendom 2025.
Syuri defeated Mayu Iwatani to capture the crown at the event. This ended Iwatani's reign at a historic 735 days. She had captured the title at the same event two years ago from Mercedes Mone.

As it stands, Iwatani is the longest-reigning champion. Syuri is the fourth champion in the title's lineage. The title was introduced when Kairi Sane defeated Mayu Iwatani to become the inaugural champion in 2022 at NJPW/Stardom Historic X-over.
