On Monday, WWE announced RETRIBUTION had signed contracts with WWE after the vigilante group terrorized the Performance Center and performers for a month and a half.
Many fans were confused as to why WWE would sign the group to contracts given that they tried to have security keep them out of the building and when they did eventually break-in, they would cause chaos and create an unsafe work environment. Fans also wondered why RETRIBUTION would sign the contracts as they want to destroy WWE and have chastised other performers for caring more about the money than the cause.
Taking to social media, T-BAR explained WWE's reason for signing the group and RETRIBUTION's reasoning for joining the company.
WWE offered us contracts because it was financially cheaper than all of the security guards we kept injuring.— T-BAR (@TBARRetribution) September 26, 2020
We signed the contracts to pay for our hired guns to do our dirty work.
Our goal is still to destroy our current employer, WWE. #RETRIBUTION https://t.co/UYN0xWS6VZ
That settles that.
It remains to be seen if this will ever be explained on television, but at least those of us on social media and online know why RETRIBUTION are officially WWE superstars.
In other RETRIBUTION news, while we know the male members are named SLAPJACK, T-BAR, and MACE, we finally learned the names of the female members on Friday. You can check out the names for Mia Yim and Mercedes Martinez by clicking here.
