This week's AEW Dark: Elevation is primed and ready for some hard-hitting in ring competition to bolster the AEW Rankings. This episode of Elevation will play host to four key women's bouts highlighting eight women during a key time for the AEW Women's Division. The timing has not gone unnoticed by the ladies as they set themselves up for success. All will enter AEW Dark: Elevation this week in the hopes of capitalizing on one of the last opportunities to gain an edge over the rest of the competition prior to AEW All Out on Septmeber 5th.
As previously mentioned above, AEW Dark: Elevation will showcase four women's singles matches. And it will in fact be the last AEW Dark: Elevation episode prior to the next major AEW PPV - AEW All Out on September 5th. Several of the women set to compete on Monday will be entering the PPV looking to win a ticket into the signature AEW original match in favor of becoming the new number one contender for the AEW Women's World Championship Title currently held by Dr. Britt Baker, DMD. The major announcement of the return of the AEW Women's Casino Battle Royale came by way of AEW Owner Tony Khan who expressed his excitement that the AEW feature match would return at AEW All Out on September 5th. Well, the months have ticked by from May to now and here we are!
The competition is definitely heating up as each woman prepares to use any and every opportunity between now and the PPV to prove to exactly why she is the next in line for a title shot. If anyone knows the importance of the Casino Battle Royale, that's it's former 2019 winner - The Beast Nyla Rose. Nyla Rose was the first ever winner in the first AEW Women's Casino Battle Royale, the opportunity that lead her to successfully dethrone the inaugural AEW Women's Champion Riho. The eight ladies featured on AEW Dark: Elevation will be putting it all on the line in some major gambles. But, as I always say, if you aren't willing to bet on yourself then how can you expect anyone else to…right? So with good reason, as any competitor knows, sometimes the reward is worth the risk especially when rankings and racking up those wins can mean the difference between PPV time and sitting on the sidelines.
Each woman will enter AEW Dark: Elevation risking injury to not only their confidence but also their bodies. Although, I think it is worth mentioning that competition creates opportunity and the opportunity here is full of bragging rights, a leg up on the competition, a chance to prove themselves to AEW higher ups, and for some Elevation could be their ticket into the AEW Women's Casino Battle Royale with the best of the best in the AEW Women's Division live on PPV at All Out. Tune in this Monday for AEW Dark: Elevation to see Julia Hart & Big Swole versus Nyla Rose & Diamante. Heather Reckless versus Hikaru Shida. Emi Sakura versus Ashley D'Amboise. And lastly, Thunder Rosa versus Laynie Luck.
