Recently on IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV, IMPACT hosted a 10 Knockouts Tag Team Match featuring five on five match. The Crown Jewel Kimber Lee teamed up with Susan, The KO Tag Team Champions Fire n Flava (Tasha Steelz and Kiera Hogan,) and The Knockouts Champion, The Virtuosa Deonna Purrazzo. These five IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts would go up against Tenille Dashwood, Jessicka Havok, former KO Tag Team Champions Rachael Ellering and Jordynne Grace, and The Demon Assassin Rosemary. After an unsettling issue of a missing Taylor Wilde, the teams would round out with the addition of Jordynne Grace, who joined her tag partner as the fifth member begrudgingly replacing Taylor Wilde.
As the match would unfold into chaos, the likes of which you'd expect from a five on five bout, the Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo would ultimately find herself in an unfamiliar position as Rosemary pinned her for the advantageous win. Purrazzo's team was nowhere in sight to make the save begging the question of their value to the Knockouts Champion. Regardless, pinning the Knockouts Champion wasn't the only boon that night for Rosemary. Not only did Rosemary gain the win for her team over Lee, Susan, Steelz, and Hogan by pinning Deonna Purrazzo, she also subsequently earned herself a highly sought after position. She became the number one contender to challenge for the Knockouts Championship against the very competitor she pinned. Let the mind games begin!
Fast on the heels of this match, IMPACT Wrestling wasted no time in announcing that on June 12, 2021, at Against All Odds on the IMPACT Plus App, The Virtuousa Deonna Purrazzo will put her coveted Knockouts Title on the line against The former KO Champion, The Demon Assassin Rosemary. Rosemary never being one to back down from a fight will certainly not be pensive when she walks into Against All Odds. Deonna Purrazzo on the other hand is not at all happy with the result of the five on five match and most assuredly is even less impressed with IMPACT Wrestling's decision to add this championship bout to the card for Against All Odds.
This is not the first time Kimber Lee has failed The Knockouts Champion, resulting in Purrazzo's need to deviate and pivot in her plans. The KO Tag Team Tournament immediately comes to mind…Either way, The Virtuosa will have her hands full in her title defense against Rosemary. Not to mention Purrazzo has made no secret of her wanting to kick in the forbidden door to AEW. As well as her upcoming bout with AAA Mexico veteran and Reina De Reinas Champion Faby Apache in August. A killer list of goals and a short time frame. With a tenuous hold on the top position, the pinnacle seat of the Knockouts Division, one can assume The Virtuosa will be looking to silence one and all with swift action against Rosemary and Faby Apache to remain the reigning and defending IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion as she aims to supersede Taya Valkyrie as the new longest reigning KO Champion, and perhaps the new Reina De Reinas Championship Title looking mighty fine to the Virtuosa...
At Against All Odds on June 12, will The Demon Assassin Rosemary be just another minor irritation for Deonna Purrazzo?
