The next NXT featured event is fast approaching. Later this month NXT 2.0 will be hosting its second ever Halloween Havoc event! Halloween Havoc is an NXT special episode that will is set to air on October 26, 2021. Like its name, the show will be sporting themed matches that are reminiscent of a Halloween festival.The event will in fact air during Halloween week this year on USA Network and boasts several NXT 2.0 Championship bouts. And in keeping with that vibe, I think it is safe to say that NXT 2.0 is giving Halloween Havoc its own makeover with killer bouts to match.
As I previously mentioned in a prior Fightful.com piece, historically speaking, Halloween Havoc is an event that predates the founding of NXT by several decades. Halloween Havoc was a former mainstay PPV that used to air on Halloween Sunday with the WCW banner under the NWA partnership from 1989 to 2000 when the WWF began the purchasing process. The event was excitingly revived under NXT’s own banner in 2020. This was an excellent move by WWE in my opinion. It gave the former black and gold brand it's own signature event for the WWE Universe to look forward to as a TV special for weekly NXT episode.
Halloween Havoc 2021 will feature an intense main event as the NXT Championship will be on the line. As reported by WWE, the NXT Championship match between Tomasso Ciampa and Bron Breakker will highlight the entire show. Also announced there will be another two championship matches gracing Halloween Havoc. The NXT Women's Championship and the NXT Women's Tag Team Titles will all be on the line. No one quite knows exactly what's in store as the champions head into Halloween Havoc on October 26th. Not to mention the mysterious debut of a new WWE character alluded to on this mist recent episode of NXT 2.0.
Tomasso Ciampa will put his NXT title on the line in what I predict will be a heavy hitting and hard fought methodical match. Two capable men, different avenues travelled towards success and only but one title. Raquel Gonzalez will walk into Halloween Havoc putting her own NXT title on the line against Toxic Attraction's Mandy Rose. This match will prove to be a test of wills from a mental and physical perspective. One woman stands alone while the other travels with company in tow.Two women but only one title. Both have never been better than they are in this moment. Both with the same goal and entirely different means of justifying that end towards that ultimate goal of the pinnacle seat at the top of the division. Spin the wheel, make the deal…
Last but certainly not least are Io Shirai and Zoey Stark who will also walk into Halloween Havoc with the intent of proving once and for all exactly why and how they won those NXT tag titles to begin with. However, as we all know, in the end there can only be one winning team. Whereas at the start of this bout there will be three, and all looking to grasp WWE gold. Two teams have more experience competing as a unit. One team is far more likely to utilize less than legal measures while another hasn't always been on the same page. Don't miss Halloween Havoc live on October 26th! Halloween Havoc will air just like any other NXT weekly episode on USA Network and of course your normal online streaming options as well. Halloween Havoc will take place at Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, FL. As of now, WWE NXT invites a selected number of local fans to the event.
