On Wednesday night after the Masked Singer, Fox T.V.'s newer show, 'I Can See Your Voice' aired and was hosted by Ken Jeong. The shows basis is distinguishing good singers from bad singers with high stakes money ready for the taking! Could you make it? Or would you take the money and run? Wednesday night featured a Flautist pitted against a Singing Server. The contestant's task is to correctly figure out who the good singer is. Taking them closer and closer with more money up for grabs and subsequently at stake. The Flautist featured was none other than frequent guest on the Talks with Taeler Hendrix podcast, Samantha Johnson!
Samantha Johnson is a multi talented performer who's also a lifelong fan of Pro Wrestling. As a Professional Singer, Samantha has done and achieved incredible things. For years she's been traveling the world doing what she loves. Even with all her success over the years, she's still maintained her love for Pro Wrestling! Fast forward and she's been on America's Got Talent Season 10, Thriller Live, Cirque De Soleil, her album "27 Underground," available on iTunes, and now Fox's 'I Can See Your Voice.' Frequenting the 'Talks With Taeler Hendrix' podcast on russosbrand.com, Samantha goes into detail on her memories watching wrestling with Taeler Hendrix. Loving legends like The Rock, Shawn Michaels, DX, Trish Stratus, Jazz, Lillian Garcia, and so many more. She recently started getting back into the wrestling products during Covid 19 Quarantine and rediscovered her love for it. With immense enthusiasm Samantha dove back into the Pro Wrestling world with reviews on WWE, AEW, Impact Wrestling, pop culture, and thoughts on how we got from the 90s to the music and wrestling we see today.
Wednesday night's episode of 'I can see Your Voice' saw Samantha Johnson as 'The Flautist' and others acting a lip sync and a panel of celebrities and contestant Loretta all trying to figure out if 'The Flautist' a.k.a Samantha Johnson was a good singer or bad based off her acting lip sync and her clues/answers to contestant Loretta's questions. The role is to make it hard for the contestant to distinguish good from bad. One of Samantha's answers to Loretta was that people often compare her voice to that of Mariah Carey. Celebrity Jordin Sparks knew instantly that Samantha Johnson was indeed a real singer while other celebrities on the panel weren't quite so sure. In the end, Loretta went against the Twitter poll which had 95% saying Samantha was a good singer, and chose instead the Singing Server to advance to the finale to sing with Jordin Sparks.
This was when Samantha Johnson was given her turn to sing proving whether or not she was a good singer, and quite thrillingly she blew the celebrities as well as the audience away leaving Jordin Sparks remarking that she could definitely hear the notes so frequently heard from Mariah Carey! Nothing but surprise and elation radiated from fellow celebrities Adrienne Bailon, and Cheryl Hines! Samantha Johnson tapped into the entire audience elevating the vibe with her own rendition of Lizzo's Good As Hell! I love Lizzo and myself was blown away seeing Samantha unleash her talent. And pun intended, Samantha's choice of song as well as her performance of it was indeed good as hell!
