TAELER: Red Velvet & KiLynn King Put The A-E-W In NWA Empowerrr

Among the Women's Wrestlers set to appear at NWA's first ever all women's PPV were none other than AEW mainstays Red Velvet and KiLynn King. Both ladies walked into the historical night ready to crush some serious goals and represent AEW at NWA Empowerrr live on PPV. The need to leave their mark on some lasting milestones with NWA and Women's Wrestling alike. And of course win some shiny new coveted NWA Women's World Tag Team Titles that have a history worth fighting for and preserving…

As the night would unfold the two would show excellent team work combining their unique styles and in ring experiences. A winning effort by the two friends that saw them advance above several other teams, giving them some serious bragging rights and inching them closer to championship gold. Brains. Brawn. Quick moves. Strength. Teamwork. And a good old fashion slug fest or two! The duo executed on a great combination utilizing each other's strength and compensating for each other's weaknesses. Which in my opinion has the making of a smart and efficiently successful team going forward.

In short it was obvious to me that Red Velvet and KiLynn King were enjoying tagging with each other as a featured tag team on the PPV. It was also equally as obvious to me that they were present being in the moment appreciating the experience and were simultaneously taking advantage of every opportunity to showcase what they were capable of if given the opportunity. And what a better way to do that than performing live on PPV under the watchful eyes of veterans like Mickie James, Jazz, Gail Kim, Awesome Kong, and Madusa in order to win belts associated with Women's Wrestling legends? Regardless of their loss in the finals or perhaps in spite of that, I think these two ladies really excelled in highlighting the promising future of Women's Wrestling and it's potential in AEW.

Red Velvet and KiLynn King may have lost tin the final round to the more experienced team of The Hex Allysin Kay and Marti Belle, however, I think they showed that AEW's Women's Division has enough depth to finally have their own women's tag team titles. The talent is there. The potential is there. The demand is there. And these ladies are certainly there! They did good business and their match in the finals at NWA Empowerrr with Kay and Belle was indicative of what I feel we can expect going forward with the reintroduction of the previously deactivated NWA Women's World Tag Team Titles. If I were Red Velvet or KiLynn King, in spite of the loss, I'd hold my head high knowing that I represented incredibly well and did a lot of people proud! I hope that we see more tag team bouts featuring Red Velvet and KiLynn KIng going forward in both NWA and AEW. They added the exclamation point that put the A - E - W in NWA Empowerrr!
