AEW took to their Twitter to announce some feature matches for Wednesday night's episode of AEW Dynamite on TNT Drama. Wednesday March 17th will be AEW's St. Patrick's Day Slam Event and will boast a women's singles match as the main event! With AEW plugging more time and effort into their Women's Division over the last eight months, its great to see the women headline their T.V. program on a major network. As announced, the Main Event pits perhaps AEW's biggest female heel in the company, Dr. Britt Baker, DMD with Rebel versus the former NWA Women's Champion Thunder Rosa in an Unsanctioned Lights Out Match.
These two ladies have been clashing for months on AEW's various shows from AEW Dark to AEW Dynamite. Thunder Rosa has been a proverbial thorn in the side of Britt Baker and the reverse. The two have taken jabs at the other in a mental game of wills as well as match interference exploding into new heights of hate and violence that have come to a boiling point - ready to spill over. Since turning heel, Britt Baker has become one of the best characters representing AEW's Women's Division.
Never once to mince words, Dr. Britt Baker, DMD offers no apologies for her words nor her actions over the past few months as pertaining to but certainly not limited to Thunder Rosa. Baker my no means feels she owes anyone anything. While on the other side of things Thunder Rosa has taken personal offense with Baker's continued audacity. From tormenting her protege in the AEW World Women's Elimination Tournament to Baker's own interference in Thunder Rosa's matches. Even Baker's BFF Rebel using expertly timed distractions and even crutches in this game of cat and mouse. Not to mention Baker writing her own doctor's note…
It's safe to say that heading into March 17th episode of AEW Dynamite aptly named - St. Patrick's Day Slam, neither of these women will be pensive. As the two are set to go one on one in what appears to be a means to an end in this feud, the importance of which is showcased in the car position as the Main Event. All matches leading up to these two ladies. An unsanctioned Lights Out Match where anything goes! Where the winner can boast "once and for all!" Who will come out on top in this bout?
