It's official, Sasha Banks is back after an unexpected hiatus from WWE. True to the name, "The Boss," Sasha Banks came back with vengeance and zero apologies like a boss. Never being one to mince words she came back swinging and handing out some intense beatings. And now she's once again in the WWE championship gold conversations. And rightly so if I may say so.
Sasha Banks has risen through the WWE ranks ever since her 2012 signing. She is amongst the top of the whose who of WWE Superstars and most certainly at the top of the WWE Women's Divisions. Her re-emergence has had an immediate effect on Smackdown that has made it must see TV. After losing her Smackdown Women's Title to Bianca Belair at Wrestlemania, The Boss' absence has been felt over and over again. Until now...
SummerSlam marked a huge turn for Smackdown when Sasha Banks was replaced by Becky Lynch. Lynch who went on to defeat Bianca Belair in less than 50 seconds for the coveted Smackdown Women's Title. The title previously held for over 150 days by Sasha Banks prior to her Wrestlemania loss to Belair. These three women have been linked together on TV for some time and Sasha Banks full-fledged in ring return at Extreme Rules was in my opinion perfect timing.
Sasha Banks' return at Extreme Rules provided a great opportunity to give Sasha a meaningful return while still protecting heel Becky Lynch. And without having Belair suffer another tough straight forward loss the likes of SummerSlam. In doing so, this put one of WWE's biggest Superstars back in a prime position to increase ratings and get back into the title race. It's my opinion that the return of Sasha Banks will add even more depth to the Becky Lynch/Bianca Belair feud and the Smackdown Division as a whole which has seen the slow rise of Liv Morgan and Zelina Vega in recent months. And now will also be the home of Charlotte Flair...
Now Bianca Belair's strong showing against Becky Lynch at Extreme Rules was exactly what was needing by means of redemption for the former Smackdown Women's Champion. This was a good way to show the growth of Belair as the future of WWE. It also adds more intrigue and purpose for her going forward. Her strong offense and take no B.S attitude put Becky Lynch quite literally on the ropes as she took the onslaught. A bona fide beat down courtesy of The EST Of WWE herself Bianca Belair. Becky Lynch's heel turn has thus far been top notch as she continues to evade, talk trash, suckered punch, and win. And with that came the answer for WWE as to how to keep both of those ladies in prime positions. I.E insert Sasha Banks into the equation And adding Banks they certainly did.
Sasha Banks' timely interference at Extreme Rules resulted in a disqualification. All of which brings us to WWE Crown Jewel. Sasha Banks set herself up for gold as she'll take on two of the best on WWE Smackdown. The Man Becky Lynch will defend her prestigious Smackdown Women's Championship Title in a triple threat match up against two former Smackdown Women's Champions. She will square off with both The EST of WWE Bianca Belair and The Boss Sasha Banks later this month. Winner takes all!
After the current shakeups resulting from the recent WWE draft, there's no time like the present to gain some major bragging rights by sporting some highly sought after WWE gold. Sasha Banks will be looking for some payback. While Bianca Belair will be looking for redemption. And of course Becky Lynch will be looking to prove once and for all that she is The Man in WWE! Don't miss WWE Crown Jewel live on October 21st. Three of the best WWE Superstars in the Smackdown Women's Division vie for WWE Championship Gold in a triple threat match for the Smackdown Women's Title!
