DIY, Awesome Truth, And The New Day Qualify For Six-Pack Tag Team Ladder Match At WrestleMania 40

DIY, The Awesome Truth, and The New Day are headed to WrestleMania 40.

On the March 18 episode of WWE Raw, three qualifying bouts for the Six-Pack Tag Team Ladder Match at WrestleMania 40 took place. In the first bout, DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) picked up a victory over The Creed Brothers after Ciampa scored a cradle pin on Julius Creed just moments after he ate a superkick from Gargano.

Later on in the show, the second qualifying match saw The Awesome Truth (The Miz & R-Truth) qualify for WrestleMania, as they defeated Indus Sher (Sanga & Veer). R-Truth stumbled upon the win for his team, as he fell on Veer and made the pinfall after catching an elbow to the face from Sanga.

Near the end of Raw, the third qualifying bout took place, as the New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) battled Akira Tozawa and Otis of Alpha Academy. The Alpha Academy duo controlled portions of the match, but the tag team expertise of Woods and Kingston led them to victory; in the end, Woods hit the Midnight Hour for the win.

The New Day, DIY, and Awesome Truth now advance to the title match at WrestleMania 40, where they will challenge Finn Balor and Damian Priest for the gold. Two spots remain, and they will be filled by SmackDown teams. Legado del Fantasma (Berto and Angel) and New Catch Republic (Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate) have earned a spot in one qualifying match. The second qualifier will be determined on the March 22 episode of WWE SmackDown.
