Tajiri To Defend MLW World Middleweight Title In The UK, Mini Abismo Negro To Debut In January

Tajiri is traveling to the UK.

MLW announced that Tajiri will defend the MLW World Middleweight Title against Jody Fleisch on February 19 at World Pro Wrestling.

Tajiri previously defended the title against Atsuki Aoyagi in Japan.

Following his historic win over Atsuki Aoyagi to retain the World Middleweight Championship, Yoshihiro Tajiri has lined up another high profile title defense.

Cesar Duran has fast tracked another interpromotional championship bout, this time with the champ defending in the United Kingdom against top ranked British grappler Jody Fleisch. World Pro Wrestling will host the high profile title bout.

This marks the second international title defense by the World Middleweight Champion, with All Japan Pro Wrestling hosting the first title bout.

MLW.com has confirmed cameras will be rolling for this historic championship bout in the event a title change occurs.

In speaking with the “Japanese Buzzsaw,” Tajiri informed MLW.com that his goal as champion is to defend the world championship against the top ranked wrestlers of each country.

In other MLW news, the promotion announced that Mini Abismo Negro will debut at Blood & Thunder on January 21.

Major League Wrestling (MLW) today announced Mini Abismo Negro will make his debut Friday, January 21 at MLW Blood & Thunder at Gilley’s in Dallas, featuring an MLW Fusion TV taping.

Fans will marvel at the magnificent mini-estrellas as mini luchadores enter Major League Wrestling for the first time ever come January 21 in Dallas.

Mini Abismo Negro, an iconic name with an amazing legacy competing in AAA will head stateside as the next generation looks to showcase his spectacular skills.

The deal is part of MLW matchmaker Cesar Duran’s vision for MLW in ’22, which will see the introduction of minis.
