TAJIRI Recalls ECW’s Financial Troubles, Remembers Not Being Paid For Four Months

TAJIRI looks back on his time in ECW.

There is a blog on Tokyo Sports’ website that is written by 31-year wrestling veteran TAJIRI. In his latest write-up, TAJIRI touched on his time working for ECW.

He worked for the promotion from 1998 until its close in 2001. TAJIRI shared that his ECW contract started at $750 per week.

He opened up about the financial troubles that began to rise in ECW. TAJIRI remembers pay stopping for four months.

After ECW closed, TAJIRI signed with WWF/E. Present day, the 55-year-old remains active on the independent scene in Japan and regularly works for the Kyushu Pro Wrestling promotion.
