Shingo Takagi promises to give Tama Tonga a rematch on January 4 inside the Tokyo Dome at Wrestle Kingdom 18.
Shingo Takagi began his third reign as NEVER Openweight Champion by defeating Tama Tonga on October 28, 2023 at NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed. He continued that reign with the victory over Trent Beretta on November 10 at NJPW Lonestar Shootout. After his victory, Takagi celebrated by addressing the audience and then asked for his next challenger.
He was greeted by a familiar face as Tama Tonga came to the ring to accept the challenge. Takagi agreed to give him his title rematch and declared that they would have the match on January 4 inside the Tokyo Dome.
