Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa Lay Waste To Bullet Club; Causes Kenny Omega & Cody To Reunite

What just happened.

The closing match of NJPW's G1 Special at the 'Cow Palace' featured the seven-month rivalry between Kenny Omega and Cody come to an end. Omega put his newly-won IWGP Heavyweight Championship on the line against the individual who has caused a major rift in the inner workings of Bullet Club. Tonight, that rivalry came to a head as the two figureheads of the faction clashed in a thirty-plus minute bout that included the use of tables, ladders and chairs.

Kenny Omega and Cody took the fight to one another and it came to a point where both The Young Bucks and Brandi Rhodes who were at ringside stepped in numerous times to tell both Cody and Kenny to put an end to the fight because it was becoming too much. As the match was coming to an end following a number of rough falls, deafening strikes and a few "V-Triggers" that were delivered by Kenny Omega, Cody had no energy left to fight Omega off and "The Cleaner" caught Cody with his signature "One Winged Angel" to retain the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

Following the match, Kenny lifted up the defeated Cody and gave a speech to the crowd; thanking them for coming out and said his final goodbyes. As Kenny with The Young Bucks on his side were about to exit, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa and their father King Haku emerged to celebrate Omega retaining his championship. In what was a shocking turn of events, Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa attacked their fellow Bullet Club members from behind and laid waste to not only The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega, but also to the remainder of Bullet Club including Cody who came down to the ring to stop the beat down.

G.O.D. stood tall in the middle of the ring as their former Bullet Club brethren were spread out before them. As the fallen members gathered themselves, arisen from the ashes were Kenny Omega and Cody who put their issues to the side and rose one another's hands as they reunited after a seven-month feud. The surprise attack from the former three-time IWGP Tag Team Champions was all that was needed for Kenny Omega and Cody to put their beef to the side and bring the group back together.
