In an exclusive YouTube clip of his podcast, Everybody's Got A Pod, DiBiase admitted that he doesn't know CM Punk well, but knows that Terry Funk had an affinity for him and also believes him to be a good worker.

"I don't know anything about CM Punk's personality or any of that. All I'm strictly talking about is his work, and his work is really good. I didn't realize it, but one of my mentors, Terry Funk, had poured into him some. He actually came to Terry's funeral. I didn't know that they had that kind of a relationship, and apparently, they did," said The Million Dollar Man.

Furthermore, DiBiase credits Punk for being the squeaky wheel that gets the grease.

"Well, you know what the squeaky wheel gets? [Oil]. Yep, it does. Sometimes I think maybe I should have been a little more squeaky," DiBiase said, referring to his own career.

While Punk and Ted DiBiase Sr. never had an interaction on camera, CM Punk, along with Kofi Kingston, captured his first WWE Tag Team Championship from Ted DiBiase Jr. and Cody Rhodes in 2008.
