Terri Runnels: The Female Legends Segment On WWE Raw 25 Made Me Sad, All We Did Was Walk Out And Wave

Terri Runnels was disappointed with Raw 25.

In January 2018, WWE hosted a 25 year anniversary episode of Raw. Notably, the show was held in two different venues, broadcasting from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and the Manhattan Center in Manhattan.

The show featured a ton of legends like The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Eric Bischoff, JBL, Mark Henry, Ted DiBiase, Ric Flair, and many others.

WWE honored a number of female performers during the show too, bringing out stars like Terri Runnels, Kelly Kelly, Trish Stratus, Lillian Garcia, Michelle McCool.

In a new interview with Ring The Belle, Runnels said that she was sad with how the female legends were presented at the show.

“Here’s what’s interesting about that. Dustin calls and says, ‘I told Vince that it’d be great if you could walk me out.’ I loved that cause it had been so long since he and I were seen in the same squared box on the television. Then, he called me back and said, ‘You’re going to have your own thing to do.’ No, his words were, ‘You’re going to have your own spotlight.’ When he said that, I was like, ‘Okay.’ I’m thinking about our old entrances like, ‘So now, I’m just going to have a spotlight on me or what?’ It turned out, if you guys watched the 25th anniversary, it turned out that all we women did was just walk out and [wave]. Which was sad, it made me sad.”

TMZ recently issued a big report, saying that Brie Bella is in talks to return to WWE to compete at Evolution. Learn more by clicking here.
