Terri Runnels Says She Hated The PMS Faction Name, Begged Vince McMahon To Not Use It

Terri Runnels hated the PMS name.

In 1998, Jacqueline and Terri Runnels came together to create the Pretty Mean Sisters group. The name of the group has criticized and panned over the years, as the PMS acronym also stands for premenstrual syndrome.

In a new interview with Ring The Belle, Runnels said that she hated the name and begged Vince McMahon not to use it.

“I hated that name. No [I didn't come up with it], in fact, I begged the dude that used to own the place. I mean, who wants to think about a bloody tampon when you’re like — nuh uh. It was just bad.”

Runnels went on to say that she thinks Vince Russo could have been behind the name of the group.

“Probably Russo, I don’t know. I came up with other acronyms. PMS was not one of them.”

The group came to an end in 1999.

Elsewhere in the interview, Runnels said that she never wanted to wrestle, as she preferred to just take bumps from the guys. Check out her full comments by clicking here.
