Hiromu teamed with BUSHI in Super Junior Tag League, but the duo failed to make it to the finals, finished with a 2-3 record.

"Watching the league matches from nearby, I thought that the BUSHI-Hiromu team was by far the No. 1 in terms of presence and the expectations of the fans. Even in that situation, Takahashi Hiromu, my eyes were glued to you, although it's frustrating. It's not about revenge for SJTL, no, that's not it. Let's challenge the World Tag League with this tag team that transcends weight classes, me and Hiromu," said Naito (via Tokyo Sports)

In other NJPW World Tag League news, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Jado agreed to team for the tournament. Jado saved Tanahashi from an attack by HOUSE OF TORTURE at NJPW Power Struggle.

Tanahashi said that he was originally going to team with El Phantasmo, but he is currently sidelined after doctors found a small tumor of cancer.

NJPW World Tag League begins on November 19. The winning team will challenge for the IWGP Tag Team Titles at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19.

Fightful will update fans when the tournament field is announced.
