Tetsuya Naito Set To Undergo Eye Surgery

Tetsuya Naito set for eye surgery.

Tokyo Sports reports Naito will have surgery on his right eye to repair superior oblique muscle paralysis, which has been causing him to have double vision.

He underwent a similar surgery in 2019, and was out of action for 20 days following the operation.

"At first, I felt a little uncomfortable, but as I wrestled more, I felt a lot more uncomfortable. Now I'm in a worse condition than when I had surgery in 2019. Because I was doing it. That part may have led to this kind of result. If I can be cured by surgery, I will have surgery as many times as I want. I still like professional wrestling. It's a fairly common injury, so I'm not too pessimistic," said Naito.

It is unknown when Naito will return to the ring.

He unsuccessfully chalenged Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at NJPW Wrestling Dontaku.
