The Great Khali To Be Involved With GLW (Global Wrestling League) In India

The league is launching this fall.
New Delhi-based media outlet ‘Best Media Info’ ran a story about a new wrestling promotion that is launching in India named ‘Global Wrestling League.’ GLW will broadcast on DD Sports and be streamed on the OTT platform ‘Waves’ and All India Radio. Waves and All India Radio are run by Prasar Bharati, which is a broadcast company that is part of the partnership group that is launching the league.
GLW is scheduled to be officially unveiled on September 17th, 2025, and the broadcast launch date is October 4th. The first season of the league will last 40 weeks.
There are comments from the league’s Chairman and CEO in the write-up. It is noted that the show is expected to showcase original storylines and a production format that is suited for general audiences.
One of the names involved is WWE Hall of Famer The Great Khali. He is GLW’s brand ambassador and Talent Commissioner. Khali gave a comment to the outlet:

Khali also has a wrestling academy based in Punjab, India.
