The Hardys Thinking Of Creating GOAT Tag Team Titles
Matt Hardy discusses the idea of creating a custom tag team championship.
Custom championships have been around forever in the world of wrestling, from John Cena’s spinning title to MJF’s Burberry champion, and everything in between. Custom tag team championships might be a new thing thanks to the Hardys.
Speaking on his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt was asked if there was ever an idea for him to have a custom championship during his career.
“There was a point where I did Big Money Matt, there was a point where I thought if I had a long enough reign, I might turn it into an iconic championship, almost,” Matt said, referencing his time in TNA.
He continued, “There are thoughts right now, Jeff and I have an idea about maybe creating a special GOATs Tag Team Championship. That might be something that ends up happening before it’s all said and done.”
The Hardys have won Tag Team Championships in WWE, TNA, ROH, and more. They are the reigning TNA Tag Team Champions.
