The IInspiration Say They First Talked During A Rey Mysterio Meet & Greet
The IInspiration say they first talked to each other during a Meet and Greet session with Rey Mysterio.
On the 3/4 AEW Dynamite, The IInspiration made their televised debut for the promotion against The Brawling Birds. They had signed with AEW in February, as confirmed by Fightful Select.
Speaking at For the Love of Wrestling 2026, The IInspiration discussed their first meeting. Both superstars have known each other since they were kids, but they hadn’t talked to each other until a Meet and Greet in Sydney, Australia.
“We met in high school at Westfield Sports High School in Sydney, Australia, back in 2005 when I was 12 years old,” Cassie Lee said. “It was a beautiful summer’s day, and I just saw Jess walking down the corridor. You know, when people would just stand out? That’s what she was to me. But we actually met and spoke when we were in line for a Meet and Greet in Sydney, Australia, for Rey Mysterio,” she added.
Both wrestlers have been tag partners for over a decade on and off. They previously worked in WWE as The IIconics.
