The Miz: ‘Seeing People From OVW Still Going And Being At The Top Of The Business, It’s Awesome’

The Miz thinks it’s “awesome” that people from Ohio Valley Wrestling are at the top of the pro wrestling business.

On a recent edition of Cody Rhodes’ What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, The American Nightmare responded to those who say that The Miz isn’t a good wrestler. Rhodes said:

“Anytime somebody sits with me and tells me, ‘Oh, I don’t think Miz is a good wrestler,’ get the f*ck out of here. You! Get the f*ck out of here. Because he’s done it, right? And it’s all different types. It’s fun, variety, entertainment. It’s the wrestling, wrestling. If you can do it, and you did it once, you can do it again…” 

The Miz shared his reaction to Cody’s comment during a recent interview with WrestleRant. He and Cody have known each other for a long time, and The Miz thinks it’s awesome that people from OVW are still going strong in the business.

“I appreciate that. To hear Cody say that, it does warm my heart, I’m not gonna lie. It’s one of those things where you look at you go, ‘Oh, thanks man. I appreciate that.’ Because I’ve been in the ring with him. I’ve seen his first match. I was there at OVW. We grew up basically in this business together. Him, myself, even Punk was down there at OVW. So we grew up in this business. Now seeing people from OVW still going and being at the top of the business, it’s awesome.”
