The Opps Defeat The Hurt Syndicate To Retain AEW World Trios Championships On AEW Dynamite

The Opps retain their gold.
The October 22 edition of AEW Dynamite opened with a big championship bout, as The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, & Katsuyori Shibata) defended their AEW World Trios Championships against The Hurt Syndicate trio of MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Bobby Lashley. This match was made after The Hurt Syndicate defeated The Demand at AEW WrestleDream.
In the end, The Opps ended up scoring the victory with some help from The Demand. Distracted by Ricochet, MVP fell victim to Samoa Joe and his signature Coquina Clutch.
