The Rock Stars In Live Action ‘Moana’ Trailer
The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) is reprising his role as Maui for the live action “Moana.”
On Monday, he dropped the trailer for the movie, which will be in theaters on July 10.

The animated version of Moana was released in 2016. The film grossed $687.2 million worldwide. Lin-Manuel Miranda won a Grammy for “How Far I’ll Go” and Rock won a Teen Choice Award for Choice Fantasy Movie Actor.
The sequel, “Moana 2” was released in 2024. The film grossed $1.059 billion worldwide and was the second most profitable film of 2024.
The Rock has been off WWE television since Elimination Chamber 2025 when he was in the ring for John Cena’s heel turn on Cody Rhodes.
