The Sandman discusses several AEW stars who would fit in on the ECW roster during the 90s.

In the 90s, ECW would be a one of a kind promotion in the United States, as their storylines would be heavier and the wrestling more hardcore oriented or ‘extreme’. In the modern age, the topic of modern talent featuring as part of old school promotions such as ECW is a popular topic, and for The Sandman, there are several AEW wrestlers who would have fit ECW’s product.

While speaking to Monopoly Events in a new interview, The Sandman was asked what current wrestlers in top companies would fit in with ECW’s product, with Sandman naming AEW talent such as Jon Moxley, Swerve Strickland and more.

“Moxley. Moxley fits right in. Swerve would fit right in Kenny Omega and Kyle Fletcher, he would fit in. Guys like that.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, The Sandman spoke about his iconic ECW One Night Stand 2005 entrance. You can read more about that here.
