Sandman is one of the top talents that found his way through ECW in the 90s, becoming one of the companies top stars through that decade. Through that rise in popularity, he would face off with some of ECW’s top talents.
While speaking to Monopoly Events in a new interview, The Sandman spoke about his favorite opponent of all time, naming Sabu.
“Sabu was easily my favorite opponent. Well, he was so easy to work with because, honestly, I didn’t really have to do much in the matches. He would just be flying all over the place, putting me through tables and stuff. It was just easy to work with him. In our business, we call it a night off, where you can go out there and work 25 minutes and just have fun. That’s the part of the business that’s great.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, The Sandman spoke about Paul Heyman using Mexican talent in the United States. You can read more about that here.
