The Young Bucks Reveal They Wanted Original All In To Be Held In California

Wrestling history was made in September 2018 when The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson), Cody Rhodes, and Kenny Omega put on what was billed as the largest independent show ever All In.

The event was held at Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, IL. All In helped pave the way for AEW. The first AEW event was AEW Double or Nothing 2019 in Las Vegas, NV.

Speaking to Renee Paquette on Close-Up, the Bucks revealed the original planned location for All In 2018.

Matt: We originally wanted to do that show [AEW Double or Nothing 2019] in Ontario, California. The building wouldn’t allow us, so Vegas was the second.

Nick: We talked about doing the original All In in Ontario. We talked to [Toyota Arena] and we were trying to get it booked. They were booked out for something. I think Chicago was the second choice.

Matt: It made sense, though. You can get airplanes there pretty easily.

Nick: It’s in the middle of America.

All In 2018 drew 11,263 fans.

AEW All In has become the biggest show of the year for the promotion. The 2025 event takes place on July 12th from Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX.

The Young Bucks will take on Swerve Strickland & Will Ospreay at the event. If the Bucks win, Swerve & Ospreay can’t challenge for the AEW World Title for a year. If the Bucks lose, they will no longer be EVPs of AEW.
