The Young Bucks Upload On Being The Elite YouTube Channel, Bring Back BTE Trigger
The Young Bucks bring back BTE… Sort of.
Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson have been on a downward spiral on-screen. Ever since losing to Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay at AEW All In, they are no longer AEW EVPs. As such, one of their signature maneuvers, the EVP Trigger, was left without a name. In order to rectify this problem, they’re going back to their roots.
Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson uploaded a video to the Being The Elite YouTube channel on August 23, 2025. The short 2-minute video featured them debating what the new name of the move should be. Everything from “Middle-aged Bucks Trigger” and “Hardly Boyz Trigger” to “EBT Trigger” and “Too Sweet Trigger” was suggested. Finally, they decided to revert to what they had previously called it: BTE Trigger.
BTE was also the name of a YouTube show that helped launch the careers of Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Cody Rhodes, Hangman Page, and others to a new level of superstardom. Matt and Nick stopped doing BTE in October 2023. The channel was then briefly taken over by the Dark Order. Now, it seems new beginnings are upon us.
