Thea Hail vs. Blake Monroe For Women’s North American Title Added To NXT New Year’s Evil

The rematch is locked in.

The 12/23 episode of WWE NXT featured an appearance from the new Women’s North American Champion, Thea Hail. Hail won the title from Blake Monroe in an awkward finish on the 12/16 show. Fightful Select reported that Hail was not supposed to win the title.

As Hail was delivering her championship celebration promo, Monroe showed up and demanded a rematch for the title.

Hail agreed to that and set it for New Year’s Evil on January 6th. The two then began to brawl.
