Thekla Retains AEW Women’s Title At AEW Revolution

Thekla retained the AEW Women’s Title at AEW Revolution, defeating Kris Statlander in a two-out-of-three falls match.
The champion won the first fall with a bridge pin, grabbing the ropes in the process.
Statlander got the second fall, breaking a spider submission by running Thekla into the turnbuckle and hitting Saturday Night Fever.
After the second fall, the referee got knocked out and “The Toxis Spider” stole his belt. Statlander managed to take the belt from her, whipping her and the Sisters of Sun (Julia Hart & Skye Blue), who interfered. As Statlander was going to hit the champion again, the referee grabbed the belt out of her hands. Thekla hit a spear and two stomps for the victory.
This was the second title defense for Thekla. She won the title from Statlander in a strap match on the February 11 episode of AEW Dynamite.
