Thekla Shares That She Can Speak Five Different Languages

Thekla explains how she can speak five different languages and names which ones she is fluent in, including Georgian, Spanish and more.

The AEW Women’s World Champion is no stranger to competing in the ring all over the world, beginning in her home country of Austria, before jumping around the world, including in Japan, before making her way to the Untied States to compete as part of All Elite Wrestling. With her country hopping throughout her career, she has picked up several languages.

While speaking to The Close-Up with Renee Paquette, Thekla shared that she is capable of speaking in five different languages: German, English, Spanish, Japanese and the language of her mother’s home country, Georgian.

“So German is my main language. English. I lived in Spain, so Spanish is my third, and then Japanese. My mom is from Georgia. It’s a little country next to Russia. They speak Georgian. It’s another whole thing.”
