Theory Discusses Failed MITB Cash In, Blames The SummerSlam Entrance Ramp For Being Two Miles Long

Theory has an excuse about his failed Money In The Bank cash-in.

During the build up to this year's WWE SummerSlam show, Theory claimed on multiple occasions that he had plans to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase on either Brock Lesnar or Roman Reigns at the biggest party of the summer. When Nissan Stadium turned off their lights at the end of the event, the chance of a successful Theory cash in came and went.

The former United States Champion was very close to actually cashing in his briefcase though, that was until he ate an F-5 from Brock Lesnar on the outside of the ring.

In a new interview with NBC Sports Boston, Theory discussed the failed cash-in and even went as far as to blame it on the length of the entrance ramp.

"You know something that I have picked up on is that you can’t tell people when you’re gonna cash in. To be fair, I haven’t got to speak about this, it just kinda got blown over. The reason why I wasn’t able to successfully cash in at SummerSlam is because of how ridiculously long the ramp was. Like, did you see how long I was running [for]? Who would have been able to cash in, that was impossible. Did I know about that? No. I knew these guys were going to destroy each other, Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. But did I know that the entrance was gonna be like two miles? Like, c’mon. After running two miles, it’s just not as normal as running down the ramp at Raw or another pay-per-view."

Elsewhere in the interview, Theory discussed the recent return of Johnny Gargano. To learn more, click here.
