The MLW Opera Cup continues at MLW Summer of the Beasts.
MLW announced the following Opera Cup matches for MLW Summer of the Beasts on August 29:
MLW Summer of the Beasts (8/29)
- Opera Cup Quarterfinals: KENTA vs. Akira
- Opera Cup Quarterfinals: Atlantis Jr. vs. Mistico or Magnus
- Opera Cup Quarterfinals: Davey Boy Smith Jr. vs. Tom Lawlor
KENTA, Lawlor, and Atlantis Jr were victorious at MLW Blood & Thunder to advance to the quarterfinals.
KENTA defeated Bobby Fish, Lawlor bested Jake Crist, and Atlantis Jr. got past Okumura. Davey Boy Smith Jr. defeated Timothy Thatcher at MLW Anniversary in a first round bout.
