Thunder Rosa Discusses Training At ATT, Potentially Doing A Series Of Fights With Paige VanZant

Thunder Rosa is involved in the MMA world once again as she is doing commentary for upcoming Combate MMA events.

The worlds of MMA and pro wrestling often cross with American Top Team Owner Dan Lambert having a regular role on AEW television as the manager for The Men of the Year (Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky).

"Dan Lambert, the owner of American Top Team, him and I are pretty acquainted with each other. I love the fact that he tells the other fighters, 'she fights too! She's a badass. When she gets her next fight, I'm going to train her at American Top Team.' 'You will humble me.' I went over there, trained, everyone is really nice. I'm always humble. Just because I'm champion and professional, I'm not going to come and tackle this game. When you come to the arena, that's a different story," Rosa told Jim Varsallone of the Miami Herald.

AEW has also signed ATT talent Paige VanZant to a contract and she made her in-ring debut at AEW Double or Nothing in a mixed trios bout.

"Absolutely, yes," replied Rosa when asked if crossed paths with PVZ. "I talked to her and welcomed her to our world. She is another that, she never let her shortcomings stop her from what she wanted to do. She did MMA, bare-knuckle, now pro wrestling. She has other endeavors that help (outside) of professional wrestling and MMA that are bringing her a lot more money. You can't knock other people's hustles. MMA fighters, the ones that are very successful and on top, they are hustlers and not afraid of taking risks."

When it was suggested that Rosa and PVZ possibly do a series that includes a pro wrestling bout, a MMA fight, and a boxing bout, Rosa replied, "That would be wild. I don't say no to nothing, so if AEW wants to do it, go ahead. I'll ask Combate Global, 'give me a t-shirt' and do some co-promoting."

Rosa will be doing commentary for the July 15 and 22 Combate events, which will air on Paramount+.

Inside the ring, Rosa recently traveled to Japan to compete for TJPW. You can find full results from the event by clicking here.
