Thunder Rosa is looking to not do deathmatches anymore, but feels that she would still be open to doing the occasional one.

Rosa is no stranger to stipulation matches in the world of pro wrestling, having competed in Street Fights, Lights Out matches and a steel cage throughout her career. Now however, it seems the time for her to be active in the deathmatch scene has passed.

While speaking to Viva Houston in a new interview, Thunder Rosa spoke about deathmatches, noting that she does not want them anymore. That being said, she remains open to doing an occasional one.

“I don’t want death matches anymore, that’s been enough (giggles). I can do an occasional one because, honestly, I like it a lot. It is a way to use your creativity in a not very common way and you can tell a story in a bloodier, a little colder, a little more violent, a little more crazy way. I feel that in this phase that I am being Amazona (part of CMLL), it costs me a little more work because now I have to think about details, about moves, about the way of telling the story that will resonate to the public in Mexico because it is different from the public of the United States. In the two companies, in CMLL the best wrestle there, same thing in AEW.”

Elsewhere in another recent interview, Rosa spoke about trying brand new things in the ring. You can read more about that here.
