Timothée Chalamet: Triple H Told Me It’s Basically Impossible To Make Money At Hammerstein

Timothée Chalamet explains why WWE doesn’t run Hammerstein.

Hammerstein Ballroom has become a legendary wrestling venue with ECW turning it into one of its home during the peak years. WWE has run the venue for WWE Raw and ECW One Night Stand events, and AEW has begun running Hammerstein on an annual basis.

WWE has not run the venue since 2006, and even Timothée Chalamet might not have enough pull to get them to return.

“I want to see a show at Hammerstein. I talked to Triple H and he said, ‘It’s basically impossible to make money there.’ He said there is one elevator you have to load everything in and out of,” Chalamet said on What Do You Want To Talk About? with Cody Rhodes.

Cody added, “He’s right, and I appreciate that he gave you logistics. At least he was thinking about it. The other thing is, it’s the worst back of house ever. God Bless Manhattan Center. It’s open windows, freezing, there s no room for anything, but there is a hidden little gem to Hammerstein, wrestling in there, other than the fans being right on top of you. At the end of the night, you can walk out front and they are all there and it’s a fun moment. There’s a little side door, and I’d always wait a little while, and I would go out the little side door. I always look for it at Hammerstein.”

AEW will run Hammerstein on December 20 and December 21.

Chalamet’s next film, “Marty Supreme,” is set to premiere on Christmas.
