TNA World Title Match At Sacrifice Ends In No Contest Following Steve Maclin Injury

The match ends in a no-contest.

Closing out TNA Wrestling’s Sacrifice special on March 27th was the TNA World Championship match between Steve Maclin and the champion Mike Santana.

Early in the bout, Maclin hit Santana with an elbow and went to hit the ropes. Santana followed behind him and delivered a superkick to the face of Maclin that landed flush.

There was an intermission in the bout as the ringside doctors and TNA President Carlos Silva went over to check on Maclin.

Eddie Edwards, who has a guaranteed TNA World Title shot, jetted down to the ring and attacked Santana. At this point, Maclin was taken to the backstage area.

Santana and Edwards brawled, but Santana ended up getting the better of Edwards and put him through a table. The main event was ruled a no-contest, as Santana remains the champion.

When there is an update on Maclin, we’ll update you here on Fightful.
