Tommaso Ciampa Jokes That He’s Interested In Hair vs. Hair Match With Ricochet In AEW
The idea intrigues Ciampa.
New AEW signee Tommaso Ciampa has been making the media rounds following his debut for the company on the January 29th Dynamite.
The subject of potential opponents came up during Ciampa’s chat with SHAK Wrestling. It led to Ciampa jokingly expressing interest in facing AEW National Champion Ricochet in a hair versus hair match.
“I’ve never had a singles match with Ricochet, ever, which is silly, right? Insane. That’s dating all the way back to our independent days. Never. So, a hair versus hair match is something I’d be very interested in doing… The crowd would go crazy, right? Who’s gonna win? Who’s gonna lose? And what’s at stake here? So, I think the loser has to grow out their hair.” Ciampa was asked if that’s possible, and he said, “Pandemic Ciampa, I don’t know if you remember. Timothy Thatcher, toothless Timmy and old man Ciampa. That was a hell of a tag team. Remember those promos? Shout out to toothless Timmy. That guy, I love him.”
Ciampa and Ricochet shared the ring multiple times during their time together in WWE. They’ve had one singles match, and that was on WWE’s Main Event show in August 2023.
