Tommaso Ciampa Wins AEW TNT Championship In AEW Debut
Tommaso Ciampa is the new AEW TNT Champion.
After making an appearance on AEW Dynamite earlier in the week, a match between Tommaso Ciampa and Mark Briscoe was added to the 1/31 AEW Collision.
Both wrestlers were neck-and-neck from start to finish. Ciampa hit Briscoe with multiple Psycho Drillers but couldn’t keep the champion down for a pinfall.

He eventually won the title after a German Suplex followed by a running knee strike. Following the match, fans chanted “You deserve it!” to the new TNT Champion. AEW commentary noted that Ciampa became one of the only two wrestlers (Mercedes Mone is the other one) to win an AEW Championship in their debut match.
Kyle Fletcher also appeared post-match to let Ciampa know he’s got his eyes on the title.
