Tomohiko Hashimoto Passes Away

Hashimoto took a leave of absence from wrestling earlier this year.
The A-TEAM promotion took to their official social media page to announce the passing of Tomohiko Hashimoto. He passed away on August 5th at 7:55 AM.
Hashimoto founded A-TEAM in 2017. In June 2025, he stepped back from his duties with the promotion after revealing that his cancer had recurred. In September 2024, Hashimoto was diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. Despite that, he went on to wrestle the following month.
Hashimoto received radiofrequency ablation treatment in November 2024 and returned to work in December. After undergoing follow-up appointments and examinations, it was revealed that his cancer was gone.
When the cancer returned in 2025, his doctor said it would be difficult to treat it with Western medicine, and Hashimoto got a second opinion, which backed that. He opted to go the route of Eastern medicine, which included hot water therapy and dietary therapy.
Fightful would like to extend our condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Tomohiko Hashimoto.
