Tanga Loa made his return at WWE Backlash, by helping Solo Sikoa and his brother, Tama Tonga defeat Kevin Owens and Randy Orton.

The much-anticipated match that would see Randy Orton and Kevin Owens take on Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga of The Bloodline kicked off WWE Backlash 2024 in red-hot fashion.

The match was originally scheduled to be a standard tag team contest, but it nearly didn't get underway because all four men insisted on brawling around ringside, even attacking security (including a cameo by former NXT Superstar Sylvester LeFort) that attempted to break up the action.

Eventually, WWE SmackDown GM Nick Aldis would ensure that the match would continue by saying "Lâchez-vous " and deciding that the match would be held under Street Fight rules.

While this upped the violence greatly, it also provided the open door for the expansion of The Bloodline as Tanga Loa made his surprise return to WWE by attacking Randy Orton with the steel stairs.

Loa's last match in New Japan Pro-Wrestling took place on March 31 where he lost a NJPW King Of Pro-Wrestling Title Rural Revitalization In Hamamatsu 2 Out Of 3 Falls match to Great-O-Khan.

In the past, Loa has held the IWGP World Tag Team Championship with his brother Tama Tonga seven times as the Guerrillas of Destiny. They also held the Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions once in 2019.

He was previously on the WWE main roster as Camacho, paired with Hunico, the second Sin Cara, in 2013. Camacho also spent some time in NXT in 2014.
