Toni Storm: I Wish Wembley Stadium Was Somewhere Else, I’m Really Bummed I Have To Return To England

Toni Storm isn't excited to be back in England for AEW All In.

Storm last wrestled in her home country of England in 2020, just weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world. Later that year, Storm began wrestling in the United States on a full time basis.

AEW All In, which will take place on August 27, will emanate from Wembley Stadium in London. The event is expected to have over 80,000 fans in attendance.

In a new interview with Daily Star, Storm said that she wished Wembley Stadium was in a difference place, noting that she's bummed to have to go back to England.

“I mean I’m very excited because it’s the biggest show that we’re about to do, the biggest show in AEW history. I’m just a little disappointed that it’s in England, I just wish Wembley Stadium could be in a different place because I lived in England for a very long time. It’s where I got established, it’s where I made a name for myself. I am British, I have a British family. I’m just really bummed I have to go back, I thought I left my life behind there. But it’s what a champion does, you know?”

Storm then went on to talk how she'll likely be performing in front of a lot of fans that saw her dominate the area during her run on the independent scene.

“The only reason I’d be excited to see those fans again, is that I get to rub it in how successful I am now. That’s gonna feel really good. That’s the only thing motivating me, just my excitement to show off how great I have become and officially denounce my British citizenship. Wembley Stadium, I can’t think of a better place.”

Storm is set to compete in a four way match for the AEW Women's World Championship at AEW All In, as she will face current champion Hikaru Shida, Saraya, and either Britt Baker or The Bunny. Fans can see the updated card for that event by clicking here.
