Tony D’Angelo Drops ‘The Don’ Title As WWE NXT Closes With Mysterious Scene

Tony D’Angelo, with a blue moon in his eye, denounces the title of “The Don” as NXT fades to black.
Throughout the night on the July 29 episode of WWE NXT, various former members of The D’Angelo Family kept emphasizing that “families don’t last forever.” Luca Crusifino, the former consigliere of The Family, was the first to appear and comment on the state of the former faction. After watching The Culling’s Izzi Dame, Tatum Paxley, Niko Vance, and Shawn Spears walk away, celebrating Paxley’s upcoming challenge for the NXT Women’s North American Championship, he quickly appeared behind them to say that no family lasts forever.
Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo echoed this sentiment when talking to Josh Briggs about his split from Yoshiki Inamura. Stacks, the former “Underboss” to Tony D’Angelo, made his point despite getting smacked in the face by Inamura.
The episode ended with a post-credits scene. It showed Tony D’Angelo sitting alone at dinner. He told his server not to call him “The Don” anymore. As he was about to enjoy his meal, he turned his head and appeared startled by a shadow. Then, the show faded to black. On social media, WWE asked who Tony might have seen.
