Tony D’Angelo says that he ‘isn’t too focused’ on being considered one of the all-time greats in WWE NXT.
D’Angelo has been a part of NXT for several years now, breaking out onto the brand during the 2.0 era of the developmental brand. Now in 2026, he is set to challenge for the WWE NXT Championship at Halloween Havoc and is currently a WWE NXT Grand Slam Champion.
While speaking to Love Wrestling in a new interview, Tony D’Angelo was asked about how he feels about being looked at as a potential all-time great in NXT.
“I try not to think of it, honestly. I’m just trying to keep my nose to the grindstone, and you know what? At the end of the day, if people want to say I’m one of the pillars or people held of high standard when it comes to NXT and championships and all that, then that would be awesome, and more power to me and my family and what I’ve done. But honestly, I’m not too focused on that.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Tony D’Angelo spoke about potentially coming back to his ‘Don of WWE NXT’ character. You can read more about that here.
