Tony D’Angelo Steals Stacks’ NXT Heritage Cup, Tosses It Off Bridge

D’Angelo sent Stacks’ trophy swimming with the fishes.
There was a social media video from Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo that aired during NXT Great American Bash. Among the subjects he addressed was a list of potential challengers to his Heritage Cup trophy.
On his list were ‘Jersey Shore’ star Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino, who had a social media exchange with Stacks. TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella and NXT coach Matt Bloom were also on the list.
Stacks would go on to walk up to Bloom to confront him about stepping back into the ring to fight him for the Heritage Cup. Bloom said his X was ‘hacked’ and he did not reply to Stacks’ post. He then told Stacks that he should keep his head on a swivel.
While Stacks was trash-talking Bloom, he left his Heritage Cup unattended, and someone ran off with it. Later on during the Great American Bash, a video message from Tony D’Angelo aired, and he revealed that he had the Cup. D’Angelo threw it in a trash bag and then tossed it off a bridge.
Scheduled for the 7/15 NXT on The CW is a Triple Threat match involving now-former members of The Family, Stacks, D’Angelo, and Luca Crusifino.
