Tony Khan: AEW Will Have Two Network Shows, Two Streaming Shows In 2021

AEW Dark: Elevation is set to premiere on March 15 and air Mondays on YouTube. But the content doesn't stop for AEW.

Following the announcement of AEW Dark: Elevation, fans wondered if AEW's second show on TNT would still be happening. When AEW signed an extension with TNT in 2020, a second show was announced in the press release, but further details were not given.

AEW President Tony Khan took to social media to say that a second show on TNT was still happening.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Khan offered up more details on AEW's content plan moving forward.

"It'll be two television shows and two streaming shows, which I think is very appropriate. Some of the most successful wrestling companies have fielded a couple of flagship shows and a couple of shows more for development and catering to fans. You'll have two Dark properties and two TNT properties. I'm really excited about it and we're ready for it," said Khan. "It was TNT's idea -- I originally had the title Elevation and the executives made a great point, 'You don't want to create confusion with different brands.' Elevation is an extension of Dark so they essentially said, 'Call it AEW Dark: Elevation.'"

Paul Wight (The Big Show in WWE) is set to provide commentary for AEW Dark: Elevation alongside Tony Schiavone.
