Tony Khan Confirms AEW Double Or Nothing Will Be An Annual Event In Las Vegas

Tony Khan talks annual pay-per-view events.

With All Elite Wrestling debuting on TNT, the promotion now has television to build to its pay-per-view events. Those in AEW have expressed their desire to hold four big quarterly pay-per-views while also doing specials on B/R Live in other months.

"We're very committed to doing big, quarterly pay-per-views. When people talk about wanting wrestling to be the way it was, when you had Big 4 events, that you really look forward to above all else, I think that's great," AEW President Tony Khan told Wade Keller on the PWTorch podcast. "I would also like to have other big events. We've had some success with Fyter Fest and Fight for the Fallen. Fyter Fest and Fight for the Fallen were great shows and there are things we could have done on both shows to make both shows better. Fyter Fest was great for fans in association with the CEO Convention, and there were definitely not wrestling fans that I know for a fact that we brought in to watch that show and we made new fans that night. At Fight for the Fallen, what we were able to do for the local community and the victims of violent crimes, I was glad we did something of impact and worked with the town to do it. I'd like to keep doing stuff like that. I do think there's potential for us to do shows through B/R Live in addition to the big quarterly pay-per-views."

AEW has held two pay-per-views; Double or Nothing in Las Vegas on May 25 and All Out in Chicago on Aug. 31. Khan confirmed that those pay-per-views are here to stay and hopes the same can be said about their November event Full Gear.

"To me, you want to keep the focus on these huge shows," said Khan. "Double or Nothing is always going to be Memorial Day weekend in Las Vegas. I think that's a tradition that's going to outlive all of us. All Out is always going to be in the Chicago area, Labor Day weekend. I think that's a tradition that can live a long time. Full Gear is the next big quarterly pay-per-view we're on. If Baltimore really gets....we've sold a lot of tickets. Hopefully, Baltimore can be a great market for us too. I expect Full Gear to be a huge brand."

Full Gear is scheduled for Nov. 9 and will be headlined by Chris Jericho defending the AEW Championship against Cody. You can find the updated card for Full Gear by clicking here.
